The Kangal is a giant mastiff breed capable of fending off predators like wolves and bears. This large shepherd dog hails from Turkestan. Depending on their upbringing and environment, this breed can be a family’s best friend or worst nightmare. Kangals are protective but usually gentle if treated calmly. Their bite force is said to reach up to 743 psi, and they will defend themselves if they sense danger.
