7. Softens Calluses

Calluses are rough, tough patches of skin that develop where there’s constant friction or pressure. For example, guitarists often have noticeable calluses on their hands. Because of ongoing pressure, calluses are also common on feet. Any repeated activity can lead to calluses wherever there’s impact. Calluses are actually protective, not harmful. However, if they become too thick or painful, you might want to soften or reduce them. Baking soda can help with this too. Soaking in a baking soda solution can ease pain and soften calluses so they can be gently removed.
