6. Coverlet versus blanket

Coverlets, which don’t touch skin as often as sheets, need washing about once every two months to stay fresh without unnecessary wear. Blankets are used more often, so their washing frequency depends on use. Generally, wash blankets monthly, or immediately if they get dirty or absorb odors.
